Changes to National Insurance Contributions Now in Effect
HMRC has cut the main rate of primary Class 1 National Insurance contributions by 2% (12% down to 10%), Class 4 by 1% (9% down to 8%) and will remove the liability to pay Class 2 National Insurance contributions from 6 April 2024. Effective since 6 January 2024.
